COMMUNITY GIVING

Carlson Rezidor associates generate positive action through meaningful donations. Giving campaigns at our hotels and corporate offices focus on helping children, youth and families, providing education and shelter.

In 2016, Carlson Rezidor hotels reported a total of USD 460,000 to benefit local charities around the world.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS ACTION MONTH

Carlson Rezidor hotel employees show real passion for serving guests. Every September for the past 13 years, they have shown the same passion while serving local communities around the world during our annual Responsible Business Action Month, creating a ripple effect of positive impact.

RESPONDING TO CRISIS

Our hotels are on the front lines when answering the needs of their communities during times of crisis—whether donating furniture, serving food or collecting clothing for those affected by natural disasters. Carlson Rezidor hotels have recently come to the aid of communities affected by the typhoon in the Philippines; wildfires in Alberta, Canada; floods in Louisiana, U.S.; and the refugee crisis in Europe.

The Radisson Hotel Edmonton South filled a meeting room with donations for evacuees of the Alberta wildfires.

VOLUNTEERISM

Our passionate associates around the world focus on meaningful contributions to their local communities through volunteerism—giving their time and transferring skills to create shared value and lasting impact.

System-wide, Carlson Rezidor hotel associates reported 50,000 volunteer hours in 2016, the equivalent of 6,350 days.

CHARITY PARTNERS

Carlson Rezidor supports and partners with established charitable organizations to further our shared missions. We have long focused on relationships with organizations that work to give children a better life such as World Childhood Foundation (Childhood). The power of our global hotel network helps maximize our charitable giving through hotel-based promotions to help Childhood and other charities with their missions.

Carlson Rezidor hotels have raised more than 1.5M USD to benefit Childhood.

GUEST ENGAGEMENT

Our sustainable brand programs generate opportunities for our guests to get involved in Responsible Business. For example, guests can participate in brand linen and towel reuse programs to reduce water consumption, use Park Inn by Radisson’s colorful recycling bins in meeting rooms to reduce waste, or contribute to Park Plaza’s Save Tomorrow’s Trees Today program for carbon reduction.
