Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announces the signing of a management agreement with Skyline Hotels to develop Radisson Jammu in north-western India. Radisson Jammu will join the Asia Pacific portfolio's of 20 Radisson hotels in operations and under development. With the addition of this hotel, our India portfolio stands at 62 hotels in operations and 32 in the pipeline, reinforcing our leadership position in this key market.
Radisson Jammu will be an outstanding 120-key hotel as it will be one of the very few international branded hotels in Jammu City, also known as 'The City of Temples' and the winter capital of the Indian administered state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Located at Narwal Chowk, Radisson Jammu will be an ideal choice for travelers who arrive by air due to its proximity to Jammu Airport. The hotel is also close to Jammu Railway Station and adjacent to the national highway that links Jammu to the Kashmir valley and the Ladakh region.
Situated close to the city center and high-end commercial areas such as Bahu Plaza, Gandhi Nagar, and Residency Road, Radisson Jammu can expect to see substantial corporate and MICE demand from international and domestic businesses located in the area.
Jammu City is also the preferred overnight destination for leisure travelers as it is one of the most visited religious destinations in India, famed for its temples and shrines, including Raghunath Temple and the 300-year-old Bahu Fort.
The hotel will have excellent meetings and event facilities and a business center. Its recreational facilities will include an outdoor swimming pool, a health club and a spa. Combined with F&B options including an all-day dining restaurant and a bar, the hotel is well-positioned to become a top venue for high-end wedding banquets, cocktail receptions and other social gatherings in the city.
Radisson Jammu is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2015.
