Park Inn® by Radisson partnered with world famous street artist Joel Bergner as part of its ongoing commitment to protect young people at-risk across the world.
In partnership with Bergner, Park Inn by Radisson offered a platform for youth-at-risk to express and communicate their hopes, views and feelings to the world. The project focused on marginalized young people, whose voices are rarely heard in society. They include refugees, orphans and the economically disadvantaged.
Park Inn by Radisson hotels developed and submitted several concepts which articulated each hotel’s long-term ambition to support at-risk young people in their local communities—through sports and art projects, apprenticeships or special training courses at the hotel. Based on these submissions, several hotels were selected to help create unique murals by Bergner along with young artists from local youth organizations in Brussels, Cape Town, Cologne, Johannesburg, Krakow, London, Malmö, Oslo and Tallinn.
“We are delighted to bring ‘Adding Color to Lives’ art projects and Joel Bergner to so many global destinations,” says Inge Huijbrechts, vice president, Responsible Business, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. “I am personally proud to see the lasting impact that Park Inn by Radisson is making, inspiring young people around the world to have a point of view and a way to express themselves freely.”
The next Adding Color to Lives mural will be created in Sharon, Pennsylvania, along with employees of the Park Inn by Radisson, Sharon along with youth from the HOPE Center for Arts & Technology.
